Updated: December 27, 2025
Introduction
1.1 These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the access, browsing, and use of the Emissions Management Solution, E-commerce Integrations, and the Footprint Offset App ("Platform") by its users ("Users" or "you") as well as the services rendered on the Platform related to the calculation, purchase, and sale of carbon offset certificates. By using the Platform and the App, you expressly accept all the terms and conditions contained herein.
1.2 This Platform and App are owned and operated by Carbon One Consulting FZCO ("Company," "we," "us," "our").
Registration and Verification Process
2.1 The User agrees to provide current, accurate, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it current, accurate, and complete.
2.2 Registration requires a valid email address and password, or alternatively, a social login such as Google or Apple ID may be used. In the case of using the Footprint Offset App, you must provide personal information necessary to calculate your carbon footprint (e.g., travel details, accommodation).
2.3 Email confirmation, phone verification, and a KYC/AML check will be performed as per our protocols to ensure the authenticity and legality of the User when applicable.
User's Obligations
3.1 Users shall ensure that their activities, including the purchase and sale of carbon offset certificates on the Platform, are in compliance with all applicable domestic and international laws and regulations.
3.2 Users agree to provide accurate, complete, and timely data for emissions calculations. The Company commits to processing all data in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG) standards and established emissions factor databases. Calculation accuracy is a shared responsibility: the Company ensures methodological rigor and transparent audit trails, while Users are responsible for the accuracy of input data provided.
Use of the Platform and App
4.1 Our Platform offers comprehensive emissions management and offsetting capabilities. The Emissions Management Solution provides enterprise-grade emissions tracking, reporting, and disclosure workflows designed to meet regulatory requirements including CSRD, GRI, and SEC climate disclosure rules. The Footprint Offset App calculates event-related carbon footprints based on your input data and facilitates offsetting through verified carbon credits.
4.2 All carbon credits available through the Platform are sourced from projects verified by internationally recognized standards (such as Gold Standard, Verra VCS, or equivalent). The Company conducts due diligence on all credit sources; however, Users acknowledge that the long-term environmental outcomes of offset projects depend on factors including project implementation and ongoing monitoring by the certifying bodies.
4.3 For enterprise Users, the Company offers service level agreements, dedicated support, and contractual commitments tailored to regulatory reporting requirements. Contact us to discuss enterprise terms that address your specific compliance and assurance needs.
Data Privacy and Email Use
5.1 By using the Platform and the App, you agree to the collection and processing of your personal data, including your name, email, and carbon footprint data. You may opt-in to receive further communications after the event, or request that your data be deleted upon completion of the event.
5.2 Any emails sent to you from the Company, including the carbon footprint certificate, will include an option to opt-in for future marketing communications.
Intellectual Property Rights
6.1 All rights to the content of this Platform and App belong to the Company, including all copyrights to images, graphics, text, software applications, source code, and other materials.
Limitation of Liability
7.1 The Company exercises reasonable care in providing Platform services, including maintaining system availability and data integrity. In the event of service disruptions, the Company will make commercially reasonable efforts to restore service promptly and, where applicable, honor any service level commitments made under enterprise agreements.
7.2 Emissions calculations performed by the Platform are based on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol standards and recognized emissions factor databases. Users acknowledge that all emissions calculations are inherently estimates based on standardized methodologies. The Company stands behind its calculation methodology and will work with Users to investigate and resolve any discrepancies identified during third-party assurance or audit processes.
7.3 The Company's liability for any claims arising from Platform use shall be limited to the fees paid by the User during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, except where limited by applicable law or as otherwise specified in an enterprise service agreement.
Indemnification
8.1 The User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, actions, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform or App.
Termination
9.1 The Company may terminate or suspend a User's account without prior notice or liability if the Company finds the User's actions are in breach of these Terms.
Modification of the Terms
10.1 The Company reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time, and such modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting of the modified Terms on the Platform or App.
